This species appears to be Bulbophyllum retusiusculum Rchb.f. It is widely spread throughout Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, Assam, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, southern China, Laos, Viet Nam and Taiwan. It grows at elevations of about 1,600 metres as an epiphyte.
